Scott
Baker
Independent Artist
Songwriter
Scott says the
lyrics get downloaded to him. That means no work required in that respect
because they come easy. However, he will spend hours in the studio
laboring over the music from the creation of it to the technicalities of
the most finite sounds of it. At the
end of the day, his ears are pretty tired from listening the intricacies
of the music. But, it's a labor of
love. Like many indie artists, his time is broken up between
the day job and gigs. Time is precious, but time is music.
He tells us
about the challenges of getting the music out there to a wider audience.
He speaks candidly about the American Idol syndrome and what the music
scene is like in Michigan.
So, take a
listen; then check out his music. It's worth it.
